Me too. I know first hand how hard it can be to study God's Word consistently.
Hi! I'm Krystal. I set out to create a devotional that could be simple to use, not take me an hour a day, but be deep enough to help me dig in to scripture, and lastly, to be creative, so I would enjoy it!
The 31-Day Letter for the Lord™ devotionals are the answer to that.
Scroll down to see how to use them!
With love and lettering,
Watch this explanation video with me as I explain how to use the 31-Day Letter for the Lord™ devotionals!
Buy nowRead the scripture and answer some questions about what you read to get yourself thinking about the text. Fifteen to twenty minutes is really all you need!
But that time is powerful! God's precious Word brings you peace and starts your day off right.
"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." –Psalm 119:105
Many devotionals today contain other people's words. No offense to those authors, but it's God's words that are most important. Yet, how many devotionals have you purchased that contain 1-2 verses and then a whole page of someone's personal experiences and stories?
We can certainly learn from them, but reading and understanding God's Word directly is even more important.
This self-guided devotional helps you read the text and ask questions about it.
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness..." –2 Timothy 3:16-17
Listen for what God is showing you about Himself in the scriptures you read. What do you learn about Him and His character? These sectioins will increase your faith and your relationship with God. You'll learn how He is loving and trustworthy and steadfast. And so much more.
"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth." –2 Timothy 2:15
First of all, lettering is FUN! But lettering is also a tool for learning and an instrument for worship. When you hand letter a scripture, you are forced to slow down and go letter by letter, word by word, which increases your ability to remember the words longer. The process also gives you time to meditate on the verse and worship as you go. It's an effective way to saturate your heart and mind with truth.
Buy nowAfter filling up an entire Lettering Prayer Journal, I can say with confidence that documenting my prayers in this way has significantly changed my prayer life. I especially love the sections which help me pray with intention for those I love, those in my local community, and the world. It helps take my focus off of just what I want and causes me to focus on the needs of others.
My journal is filled with prayers that have since been answered, a testament to God's faithfulness and a reminder of the power of prayer. This journal is a true treasure. ~
Krystal Whitten has thought of everything in this. This journal truly helps me grow in faith and see just how much there is to pray over. I can't say enough good things about this beautiful journal, including it's quality and packaging are so, so good.
You'll enjoy this whether you're into lettering, Illustrated Faith, Bible Journaling or simply just growing in your prayer life. There are even extra pages at the back, lined for notes or journaling AND blank for lettering bonus verses or thoughts. ~
It is not an exaggeration to say that Krystal’s Lettering Prayer Journal has transformed my prayer life! Writing out the well-chosen verses every week or two in a variety of artistic ways imprints them on my mind and heart in ways that just reading them does not.
The categories for prayer have likewise been transformative as I focus first and foremost on praising God for different aspects of His character, often found in the verses, and then on the other categories that she has so aptly listed. I’m nearing the end of my second year of consistent use and enjoyment of this beautiful journal and could not recommend it more highly! ~
Not sure how the format will work for you? Try it out first. Download a week of prayer pages, print them out, and try it for a week. You'll get a good idea if this is something you like before you buy it.
The printable comes with the 3 weekly prayer pages, one of the coloring pages, and an introduction page with some instructions.
