What if you could focus on prayer without constant distractions? Can you imagine how powerful your prayer life would be?? We all need help in this area. Which is why today I'm introducing a short series that will hopefully help you as you figure out how to do this thing called prayer. I want to walk you through the Lettering Prayer Journal and show you how it can be a life-changing tool in your walk with God. It's been over a year since the LPJ was released, and I've never dedicated a blog post to tell you how it's to be used or why it's so powerful!

I've seen firsthand, through my own experience and through customer feedback, how this tool can transform your prayer life.

Prayer and scripture go together. When you know scripture, you can pray scripture. And your prayers become more powerful, more authoritative because you're praying God's actual Word. The thing is, most of us aren't really taught to do this.

"If you are weak in the Word, beloved, you will be weak in prayer. The two go hand-in-hand. The greatest book on prayer is the Bible. It should be our 'book of common prayer.'" - Kay Arthur, Lord Teach Me to Pray

The Problem
Prayer is not an easy discipline to accomplish. How often have you sat down to pray, only to find yourself staring into space or suddenly opening an app on your phone? E.M. Bounds said, "Spiritual work is taxing work, and men are loathe to do it. Praying, true praying, costs an outlay of serious attention and time, which flesh and blood do not relish." So true.

Writing my prayers has always helped me pray more directly, instead of bouncing around, unable to focus. Lettering helps me focus on scripture and saturate my heart with God's word. It has became a powerful inclusion to my time with God each day.

    The Benefits
A lot of thought – and prayer! – went into the design and layout of the Lettering Prayer Journal. While I wanted it to be beautiful, it was even more important to me that women would really use it and discover God in a whole new way. After all, He gave us our creative spirits, and He delights in drawing us closer to Him through our creativity.

The Lettering Prayer Journal will help you:

    • Simplify and focus your prayers through the thoughtfully assigned categories
    • Develop a thriving prayer life resulting in a deeper relationship with God
    • Enhance your knowledge of and reliance on God's truths by meditating on His Word on a regular basis
    • Have fun with and improve two skills that are valuable to you: lettering and prayer.

Prayer, like lettering, is a skill meant to be improved upon continuously. It's a lifelong practice that you can actually ENJOY!

    Special Features
The LPJ was created for you to use your creative drive to facilitate spiritual growth. The LPJ has a few unique features that help meet that goal:

    • Undated Pages giving you the freedom to start whenever you choose and eliminating any pressure or guilt about "falling behind."
    • Weekly Verse allows you to get creative and learn a new promise of God - that you can add to your memory bank of promise prayers! You don't have to create a new drawing every day! Meditate on it and add to your artwork throughout the week.
    • Intentional Categories help you pray specifically for others as well as yourself!

    This Prayer Series
The next two blogs in the Prayer Series will cover the specific prayer categories in more depth. You'll better understand what scripture says about prayer and how to use the categories most effectively. The categories will be divided into two blog posts:

    1. Internal Categories: Inward-focused prayers to build your relationship with God
    • Praise, Repentance, Thanksgiving, Equipping, Myself

    2. External Categories: Outward-focused prayers to lift up others

    • Family, Friends, Sick/Grieving, Community, World

I am excited about this re-introduction to the Lettering Prayer Journal, a product I truly believe will transform your spiritual walk if you let God use it. I hope you enjoy diving into it with me over the next few weeks.

I would love <3 to do this, but it is far too small for the visually impaired.

I definitely need this. My memory isn’t what it used to be and it’s harder to recall scripture.

Hi, will you make journals in other colored boxes.. or are they made for women only? Say if I wanted to gift one to a friend, will you eventually make a nuetral color box or color scheme?
